Artist of the month – Peter Viljoen

April Artist of the month

Peter Viljoen

Our April artist of the month is Peter Viljoen I love creating characters and seeing them come to life in animation. My new passion is creating characters for 3D Printing and hope to bring my ideas into reality. I worked as a junior modeler on a half hour movie titled “Stickman” that premiered in London on 25 December 2015. After completing my initial contract I moved over to Triggerfish’s game department who were currently working on a project for Disney. Here I did modeling and Animation. This work however is not open to the public.
While at the Animation School in Cape Town I spent my time learning as much as I could about all the different aspects of Animation. I especially enjoyed modeling but my passion is still animation itself. I also spent my free time attending life drawing classes. In my third year I directed my groups short film “Aeternum” which went on to win the Gold medal for “Best Student Short Film” at the New York Festival.
